Keeping the Routine

Many of us have weight that we would like to lose. Far too many of us in this day and age, according to the statistics. Obesity has become a serious problem in the United States of America. One of the reasons that people have such trouble losing weight is that exercise routines can be hard to keep up with. Most of us don’t have a Los Angeles personal training expert by our side to give us the encouragement and discipline that we could use, meaning that it’s up to ourselves to kick our butts into gear.  This can be difficult when we find ourselves growing bored with the routines that we’ve set up. Here are some ways to make getting in shape fun again.

* Consider the benefits of weight loss vacations. Some time away from everyday life focusing on living healthier can change your perspective.
* Try exercising for shorter periods if you’re having trouble keeping up. Even 15 minutes a day on busy days can help.
* Exercise with a friend. It will give both of you accountability as well as company.
* Work towards a goal at the end of the week or month so you have something to look forward to.
* Try one new activity each week, whether it’s a boot camp program routine or something as simple as rollerblading.
